Wildlife On The Loose: What Would You Do?

December 7th, 2015

Black Snake

Recently, wildlife officials in Florida were in search of an eight foot long King Cobra that had escaped its home in Orlando. The exotic creature was reported to be missing by its owner, and is said to be venomous, and yellowish-green in color. The owner was allowed to keep the animal because he was an experienced snake handler. Wildlife officials have reported that they are thoroughly searching all the adjoining areas, and if anyone sees the snake, they are to contact them via the agency’s hotline.

Hearing about such things is a little uncommon; however, people should know what they are supposed to do in case a wild animal enters their home.

Dealing with wild animals can be dangerous, especially if you’re unaware of their habits. If you find yourself in a situation with a dangerous animal near your home or business, you should immediately contact a professional wildlife removal company.

They can help out in the following ways:

  • They will think about your and the animal’s safety, and would know how to minimize the risks.
  • They know about wildlife disease risks and can easily detect it. Furthermore, they will advise you when it is okay to pick an animal and when it is not.
  • They have the proper equipment that is needed to handle the animal.
  • They have a readymade plan in case of contingencies.
  • They can immediately transport wild animals to a rehabilitation facility.
  • They will call for a veterinarian in case the animal is injured.
  • They have special training and ample experience.
  • They are aware of the federal and regional laws regarding wildlife.
